Recipes from Show 2:

Chocolate Birds Nests

6oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups cereal such as All-Bran, or a granola cereal
3/4 cup raisins

Wash your hands!

Prepare a baking sheet or another tray by lining it with wax paper or parchment paper. Set aside.

Put the chocolate chips in a large, microwave safe bowl. Microwave the chips on high for 2 minutes. (Note: this time may vary with the microwave brand, so you might want to microwave it for one minute at a time.) Stir the cereal and raisins into the chocolate mixture to coat well.

Drop the mixture by tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheet, then put it in the refrigerator to set for 5 minutes. Enjoy!

Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

1 banana
3/4 cup hulled strawberries (cut the tops off)
1 1/2 cups plain yogurt (or you can experiment with vanilla or a fruit yogurt!)
2 tablespoons orange juice

Wash your hands!

This recipe requires the use of a blender. Ask your parents to instruct you on how to use a blender before you attempt using it on your own. And please remember to unplug any appliance before you attempt to clean it!

In a blender, combine all the ingredients. (You don't have to chop the strawberries, but it will probably help to break the banana in half.) Puree until it appears well blended, pour into a glass for serving. Enjoy!
